DESIGN INITIATIVES

For my work at Paula’s Choice, my focus was improving the website’s searchability as well as pushing out new promotional material. This involved the use of Salesforce to manage items, create banner images, edit pages, and roll out sales.

Since Paula’s Choice already had an existing brand, my work was a great exercise in working within a very precise styleguide. For example, their brand’s colors were obviously already nailed down, and I had a limited palette to choose from for banner images. When choosing colors and images, I utilized accessibility tools to make sure the contrasting colors met AAA accessibility standards. I also needed to ensure that the text in each item’s banner images was searchable in order to improve the site’s SEO.

In addition to design improvements, SEO optimization, and item management, I worked on promotional rollouts and new campaigns for the site as well as communications to their target audience. This included emails, popups, and print communications. Each new campaign was meticulously designed, and I made sure they were incorporated seamlessly and fully throughout the website. Overall, my work at Paula’s Choice was a great exercise in working with new, exciting designs, but within an existing brand identity.
